How to Use JBL PartyBoost on a Windows Desktop PC

  • by

JBL’s PartyBoost feature is an incredible technology that allows you to link up to 100 compatible speakers (like the Flip 6, Charge 5, or Xtreme 3) together. However, when users connect their main speaker to a Windows PC, they often find they cannot easily trigger the PartyBoost linking process.

Why Windows Fails at Multi-Speaker Audio

Windows is not designed to broadcast audio to multiple Bluetooth receivers simultaneously. If you try to pair two JBL speakers to your PC, Windows will simply switch the audio from one to the other.

Activating PartyBoost from Your Desktop

To properly use PartyBoost on a computer, you must send the correct command to the primary speaker, telling its internal chip to bridge the connection with the secondary speaker.

Using a specialized desktop application, you can bypass Windows limitations. The software communicates directly with the primary JBL speaker, allowing you to activate PartyBoost Synchronization or assign dedicated Stereo (Left/Right)channels with a single click.

Build your ultimate desktop sound system: Download our Pro Desktop Client for JBL to easily link your speakers and manage PartyBoost directly from Windows.
